These days, going out isn’t half as much fun as it used to be.

Gone are the days of the great outdoors, with traffic, people, skyscrapers and pollution littering the streets of almost every developed region. In these conditions, your physical health could take a toll.

Sure, you could go to your local park for a run, but how many of us are lucky enough to live near a much-needed patch of green relief?

If you’re one of the unlucky ones, and the idea of paying a small fortune for a gym membership just for going to the gym doesn’t appeal to you, we have the perfect home treadmill for you, the Sole Fitness F80!

Sole Fitness F80 Treadmill

The Sole Fitness F80 treadmill is one of the best on the market, and we’ll tell you all you need to know about it, so read on!

What Do We Like About the Product?

There’s a lot to like about this treadmill, so let’s go over the points!

The Sole Fitness F80 has been designed for you to get the most out of your run. Starting with the most crucial bit, the deck, Sole has developed its unique deck that utilizes Cushion Flex technology to ensure that your joints are exposed to 40% less stress than on a regular treadmill.

Apart from the deck, the F80 features a control panel that looks more at home in Captain Kirk’s spaceship than on a treadmill! Sporting a stylish LCD, it houses the usual incline and speed buttons, apart from a few configuration buttons.

Lastly, this is a folding treadmill, and the bed of the F80 does indeed fold up, which makes moving, cleaning and storing it very convenient.

Treadmills are incredibly sophisticated pieces of machinery, and the F80 is no exception, utilizing state-of-the-art technology for the moving parts.

It features a powerful 3.5CHP (continuous horsepower) motor that runs on DC. The motor drives 2.75-inch rollers and is powerful enough to provide a maximum running speed of 12 miles-per-hour.

Apart from the speed, the bed also inclines to a maximum 15% extent by utilizing rack-and-pinion gears.

Lastly, regular treadmills tend to snap their drive belts over time, as wear and tear take their toll. But the F80 uses extra-tough dual-ply belts on its rollers to ensure you don’t stop running!

3.Unique Features

The Sole F80 comes with several unique features which genuinely distinguish it from the competition.

For starters, it features a unique chest strap which, apart from keeping you safe in case of an emergency, also measures your heart rate! This feature is incredibly convenient because, in traditional treadmills, you have to place your palms on the sensors on the armrests on the side. There is also considerable lag to deal with.

If, however, you do not wish to bond with your treadmill using a strap, you can always place your palms on the conventional pulse grips on the sides.

The Sole F80 also comes with one of the most programmable and customizable control panels in the treadmill industry. It features six standard programs, two custom programs, and two heart programs.

The massive 7.5-inch LCD ensures that you don’t miss a single detail out in the middle of an intense session. And it is flanked by two massive cooling fans, which give you a bit of the “wind-in-your-hair” feeling you’d get during a normal run.

Of course, no workout is complete without jamming your Spotify workout mix, so this treadmill also offers an MP3-compatible jack. So, turn the volume up, we can’t hear the drop!

Sole doesn’t want you to trip while running, so to keep things smooth, they offer an industry-leading warranty. Sole provides a warranty on defects in materials and quality, that is, manufacturing defects, a lifetime warranty on the chassis and the moving parts, such as the motor, and the innovative Cushion Flex Whisper Deck.

Moreover, you also enjoy a five-year warranty on electronics and a two-year warranty on labor. While it is rare for Sole’s products to breakdown, the customers who did experience such anomalies report that Sole promptly fixed the problems, free of cost!

The Sole F80 treadmill itself weighs 265-pounds and can handle a maximum weight of 375-pounds, making it useable for almost everybody.

What Could Have Been Better?

Well, nothing’s perfect, and the Sole F80 isn’t an exception, so here’s what could’ve been better.

While we realize that treadmills are very rugged items and are built to last, we can’t help but feel that maybe the Sole F80 could’ve done with something a little more lively than the swath of drab, grey plastic on the instrument panel.

Of course, matters aren’t helped by the fact that the plastic panel houses an advanced LCD screen that, because it appears so futuristic, feels out of place with the rest of the panel.

While Sole is working on this, some people have reported that they had to assemble their treadmills themselves. Though assembling a treadmill is not a difficult task (it’s like a jigsaw puzzle), some people have been put off by the fact that they have to involve themselves with screws and drills and bolts of all sorts before they can get running.

This could be a potential deal-breaker, especially if you’re not mechanically inclined.

  • Cushion Flex Whisper Deck reduces joint strain
  • Reinforced belts will last long
  • Industry-leading warranty
  • Chest strap is a novel and useful feature
  • Powerful motors provide a blistering top speed
  • MP3 compatibility will keep you entertained

  • Fit and finish could’ve been slightly better
  • Be wary of logistical problems

The Sole Fitness F80 is one of the best treadmills on the market and is a perfect fitness solution for those living in overcrowded cities with no place to go for a relaxing run.

It’s comfortable, quiet, feature-laden and comes with a brilliant warranty. We wholeheartedly recommend it, so click this Sole F80 treadmill link to get yours.

Happy running!
